#Day 10

It was a wonderful day as visiting the 'Bhartiya Shilp Mela' or the Craft Fair at HSR Layout proved to be a truedelight and an enriching experience. It offered stalls full of almost everything under the sun. From books to traditional clothing, spicy pickles to mouth fresheners, mirror work to antique metal work in home d├ęcor, bling to traditional Lac jewellery, the famous Rajasthan kundan jewellery, bead and stone work in anklets, amulets, bangles, necklaces, earrings, teardrops.........,wrought iron frames and huge furniture , wood handicrafts from bangle holders to mirrors, temples to corners, even ready -to-install 'jharokas' window frames and  balustrades to intricately designed wooden pegs... the list is endless.
The famous 'Khurja Pottery' ceramic bowls , flower pots, wind chimes, water tubs  and every other conceivable item was there resplendent in rainbow colours .And then a portrait artist to draw instant portraits of you and your family for a reasonable amount. I bought what my daughter wanted to buy but to look at those ravishing Peacock Saree brooches studded with sparkling zircons and the silver framed hand mirrors with delicate flowers encircling their oval faces....feast to eyes. Another Happy Day.
(All the pics are from internet as cam pics are not uploading. The ones of the fair are even more enchanting )
