Dear Kokila I was beginning to wonder where you had disappeared. Glad to see you back. A belated Happy Diwali to you hope it was a good one. I will be in chennai in end of November again but since you are not in chennai it is not easy to meet up and as you say we can meet up here at least :-) . Beautiful poetry. Wish I was as talented with words like you
Thanks Shashi, am glad you are liking these :)Talking about talent ! Bah! I only know how I manage to hide the tears of dresse by ugly stitches .... and how many times bless those who invented Safety Pin :P To make a Mili or Pepi .. only you can do it dear :)
You write beautiful haikus.(I hope haikus is plural of haiku)The haiku and the picture complement each other.
Thanks Kiran Its gladdening you are liking these :) But for a really amazing Haiku on 'Autumn' you should read Maniparna's 'Crow' here http://maniparna5002.wordpress.com/2014/09/21/haiku-crow/
Good to see you back Kokila :) Wonderfully written. Although, I am afraid I couldn't get this one right :DHowever, for me this Haiku draws a beautiful yet lonely picture. Reminiscences may bring smile or tears but then fade away as the leaves wither and both are spectacular and beautiful in the process. All that's left is the void, loneliness perhaps for a while before beauty- memories (new) and leaves are back again :) A package of hope, fall, beauty and life (forgive my ignorance and do explain it )
First thing is that your comment made me smile a real smile :)Being honest is so I mean SO rare....Hence,I loved the first line of your comment the most :D :PNow , what is there you don't get when you have explained it up to a 'T' :) You are right Shanx .. " memories while fading means getting hazy- may be due to old age or simply as we have moved in our lives to greener pastures so the old simple memories are fading ... so while fading they whisper in my ears .. autumn leaves are falling .. means we are going .And there is hope in dying memories (leaves) of new pleasant/sad memories to be formed ... just like Autumn will welcome Spring one day.. new leaves will come .. You have explained in better words than me using words like loneliness, void and then hope, beauty and life :) Thanks :)
PS . have to learn from you to be less verbose ..sigh !
Glad that I got it :) This Haiku is beautiful to the point that it made me wonder that I must have missed something and I really didn't want to :D Thanks so much for explaining :) Keep Writing. Your Haikus are an inspiration (Maniparna and you can write beautiful Haikus in your sleep too I say ;) )
Yes, they murmur softly and make us nostalgic...so many memories surge into... a beautiful image drawn. So few words, impregnated with so many things. :-)
Thanks Maniparna ..your comments make the piece more beautiful ..every time ... loved it :)
Your views make this blog work ...Thanks a lot. :)
