Winning is great, sure, but if you are really going to do something in life, the secret is learning how to loose. Nobody goes undefeated all the time. If you can pick up after a crushing defeat and go onto win again, you are going to be a champion someday. ~ Wilma Rudolph
True words Ravish .. if only we can each practice it even a bit .. :)They say " don't be afraid of going slow.. Be afraid of standing still " Have a great day and Tc
Happy Pongal Kokila :).. Winning sure is a great treat, but the way we get there is an amazing feat indeed. It reminds me of the quote - "It is not what you get in life that matters, it is who you get to become"
Great words Vinay.. and that is the exact reason why Winners and Heroes are not the same thing, though winning definitely feels good :) Thanks for being such a calm and positive influence .. And yes thanks for the thoughtful words and the Pongal wishes .., Same to you and Vidyashree :)

I wish parents would actually imbibe these words - and quit pressurizing the kids. Dont you?
So true Sweety ! Yes, not only as parents but as humans too we should refrain from promoting the 'Trophy Hoarding Mentality' specially in kids. They are like flowers ... let them bloom .. some are roses , some are lilies... they all are beautiful .And the best bouquet is a right mix of all :) Thanks for the insightful words Sweety :)
Winning does matter but the strength lies in the endeavour, the effort which one puts in...profound words dear... LOVE <3

So right. We've all been told that trying was more important than winning. I was not so sure for a long time. However, with age, it seems to make sense. I've learnt that when you 'try' there is no place for regret. :) "Courage is when you try to set free and let go?"Simply POWERFUL, Kokila. Nice job! :)
SO right Dee. And yes , with age and experience it sinks in ... Thanks SO much for the lovely words Dee ...Insightful and wise :)
