I was very close to my grand pa...lost him a year back. He was 97, lived his life full. My eyes were moist reading it...nostalgic in his memories. Loved the creation babe. Its so beautiful and heart wrenching.
I am glad if my words were able to bring back to you some pleasant and love-filled memories .. My grandmother also lived her life full, with happiness and zest ... and we too, lost her two years back, so can relate to your feelings dear girl ...Grandparents evoke an image of a pleasant, neverending warmth :)Thanks for sharing your feelings dear friend.

Even though I am not so good at Hindi, I still understood the Message conveyed.... Well said!
Great to know that Sir and I apologise for not giving the translation.. I am updating it right now :)
The bond between grandparents and grand children is really special. Lovely words.
Well said Mridula !Glad you liked it :)
Touching. Barfili beard - that's such a lovely image :)
Thanks Beloo..You have picked out the central image which made me write it ... This Haiku poem started from there and is is woven around the "Boodhe pahad, Barf si Daadhi..." .... and as the dads of our generation sported a long, white beard almost never... I converted the image to that of grandpas...as the affection and the essence of their love is similar AND I was not ready to lose the Barfili Beard :P :)
I read it again..it sounds more beautiful... :-)
Thanks a lot mani... you are welcome again n again girl :) hugs n wishes :)
