विनम्रता : Docile

:(

Being docile is a vice at times just like being naive or too trustful. You are called dumb and are taken for granted. Moreover, you raise the bar of expectation so high that people want you to be pleasant, sunny, smiling, fun to be with  and undemanding failing which you are a hypocrite and venomous. In short listening to your heart can lead you into a soup, scalding hot, thick and muddy!
A light take on that :/

श्रम : labor, diligence                                                  जलद  : clouds

Glad, I could understand most of the words. But, not sure of the message it conveys...

  3. Wah wah kya baat hai Kokila. Bel ka parishram se katrana, hawa ka dhama chaukadi machana, chori karke chand ka itrana...aur tum niyam todo toh logon ka aankh dikhana....yeh toh badi nainsaafi hai. Bahut khoobsurat kavita hai. :-)

  4. Hello Kokila, how lovely to see you back blogging again. I’m sorry I’ve not been over for a while I took two months off to spend with my family.
I hope the New Year is being kind to you.
    Barbara.

Ps Being docile can indeed by a vice – I was docile once but not any more.

  5. Nice one Kokila, I could not agree more with you. I have usually been noted as the silent kind who is very careful with people but there are a lot of times it has backfired and I have been treated docile. It really sucks that some people recognise it as a weakness and take advantage of it sometimes.

I thought it was a poem on nature, till I landed on the last verse. You brought out a sensitive topic so well. One of your best posts.

  12. Very nicely done, Kokila. The last verse in a way changes the meaning of everything that comes before it. Or at least makes one see all the natural phenomena in a new light.

  18. Vinamrata – humility – docile Seedhe ped hi jungle me kaate jaate hain. Yehi antar hai prakriti aur sanskriti me. Sanskriti me vinamrata (humility) ko docile (dabbupana) samjha jaata hai. The culture was formed so that meek have rights too but nowadays has become a tool in the hands of few to domesticate/enslave the mass in the names of morals and ethics of civilization. The foundation of culture is fear not love. It’s the fear that ‘one could be broken easily but not many’ led us towards culture & civilization not the love among the people. It’s always about power; we couldn’t overcome the animal within us, we couldn’t outlive the Law of Jungle, which says: “Might is Right.”

Apart from this philosophy of my intellectual mind, my emotional mind understands the emotions behind the lines. It cannot do anything except shedding tears at the height of its emotional state.
