First Light : Haiku / Senryu

Top Post on IndiBlogger

                                                                               first light of winter
makes frost glow  defies dark  like,
                                                                               love defies reason

linking with #894 prompt of  Carpe Diem Kai.

Senryu is a 'Human Haiku' following the syllable count of 17 in the pattern of 5-7-5 in three lines but with the focus on human idiosyncrasies and life situations rather than seasons and natural beauty. Senryu generally don't have a kireji (cutting word ) and a kigo (season word) and are  generally dark humored  or cynical.
My above versehere, fits the bill for both, hence, is a hybrid! :)

And by reason I meant it in a positive sense dearie! Knowing me, you already know, what supreme place the emotion holds for me !on a pedestal it is and can never be shaken from there !! Hugs and love, bina reason wala :))

  14. Love has no reason and no explanation.. It simply exists in Nature.. And where love prevails, nothing else is needed to support.. A very nice comparative way of saying about the winter mornings.. A great Post, Kokila!

  21. Light – love, frost – dark – reason, and then the GLOW; very beautifully placed! Light is unworthy, if it doesn’t glow and defies dark. Same is the case with love. The love which doesn’t defy reason is not a love but something else. The word GLOW indicates an expansion in individual’s consciousness – Enlightenment. Reasoning is related to mind and enlightenment is a state beyond mind. Glowing and burning are two sides of a coin. Glowing of soul and burning of ego aren’t two but two sides of same phenomenon.
