I like the comparison between the stubborn love and the flower blooming in the winter frost. It is quite special :)
Thank you Vinay:) I liked that too :D
Bloom flushed with joy and a flower blooming against the frost like stubborn love. Petite and beautiful haiku with an attitude :)
Your kind words are always a boost Somali.. I am pleased you liked the attitude :))
I just LOVED the second one...it's such an exquisite simile! You made my morning today with your words, soul-sis.. :-)
And you just made mine :D:D waise mujhe pata tha you are going to like the second one ..its for not for nothing that we are called soul-sisters! Thank you :))
Is Stubborn love misplaced another phrase for unrequited love? It is rather sad. Isn't it? One Rose gets what the other Rose wants.
I like the way you get involved Ranju! It's rare! And what an insightful comment it is, as I never thought that way that one Rose gets what the other Rose wants! I have used the words'Stubborn love, misplaced'to portray the anguish of that love which blooms unwanted, but once bloomed,it can't be thwarted as true love, like energy can't be destroyed. Against the social dogmas and ethics, it will keep on blooming... till death brings the ultimate solace.Amen.
Forgot to thank-you Ranju!! Hugs :))
Good & evil aren’t absolute but relative. The only thing that matters is Attitude. It’s LOVE that can make cold ice into joyful experience and beautiful sight. The person/thing hardest to love is the person/thing who/which needed it the most. So, I don’t think that it’s misplaced. Love which isn’t stubborn is not love. The line, “blooming against frost,” is an announcement that love doesn’t depend on external factors to grow; it’s an intrinsic property of an individual.
You will nor find it misplaced because for you , like me , even love un-returned has its own rainbow :) In fact any kind of love is not misplaced ..at all, if Love it is !But then bhai, beyond the soul there IS a worldly denouement of love, the failure of culmination of which is shattering. Still , like this rose, apparently soft and pink as in naive and shy, made stubborn by emotion, love blooms at the most absonant and incongruous of times and places, defying logic, theories and reason. Hence, I felt pity for it, saying misplaced :)
Thanks Bhool Gayi :)) Tons of it .
Loved the 2nd haiku
Thank-You Deepak! I too found the second one closer to my heart! :)
Poor roses - all frozen. Makes a pretty picture though and the thought is interesting.
Yes, Poor Roses..Just like poor love, blooming blindly..kahin bhi, kabhi bhi, and the heights, kisi se bhi !..and then leaving the heart numb, soul shattered. You have nailed it with your sensitive insight while putting it casually Kalpanaa! That was the EXACT thought behind the haiku.. Thanks A lot dear! Glad you liked the pictures, friend:)
Thank-You! Glad you liked it! :)
Love brings in the color and love brings the stubbornness too....it makes a person know what she is capable of. Beautifully put bestie!
Perfectly decoded! Love once happened,is stubborn enough to bloom amid biting frost, wear the rime like a sprinkling of joy irrespective of the fact if it has bloomed in the heart of a princess for a beggar...in the heart of the most delicate and ultra sensitive Parvati for a rough and uncouth Shiva... the delicate bud will bloom against all odds. It's inevitable.Simple.
Thanks bolna bhool gayi bestie! Hugs! :)
Such sublime poetry. :) You certainly have your way with words.
Thank YOU!Coming from A Beautiful mind, it mans a Lot! :)
Beautiful haiku Kokila. Loved the play of words and the beautiful emotions behind them. Simple and poignant!
So glad it resonated well with you, Kala! The Haiku is simple as Love is simple, not complex.Holmes said, "There is nothing more deceptive than an obvious fact." and, Poirot says, "If it has necessarily to appear complex, it must be simple!" Both are by authors I worship for their excellent understanding of human nature.Similarly, love is SO simple that it HAS to appear complex with tomes of psychoanalytic literature on millions of library shelves dissecting it. while all the time it just IS.cheers and Thank-you for stopping by dear! :)
Beautiful haiku as always. I like the idea of a stubborn rose fighting for survival, and the analogy.
Thank You girl! Despite being the softest feeling of the universe, love IS stubborn! And is careless, unbridled...yet focused enough to survive the cruelest tests possible.Glad you liked the idea. :)
Loved the second one more Kokila.. a stubborn love that refuses to give up.. That blooms despite the hardships..:)
I am glad you liked it,Renu.. the first one has an irony which I think I have wrapped a bit too much to be visible.. but, I too like the second one better:) Thank You for reading dear!
Your views make this blog work ...Thanks a lot. :)
