Nazm :

खत-ओ-किताबत -ओ- इतंज़ार -  (season of) writing letters and waiting (for the reply)
उन्स-ओ- खुमार - love and intoxication.
हया- shyness
महफ़िले-गुंजार - congregation of twittering birds , here ( musical notes of ecstatic hearts).
 हर  सू- every where.
खिज़ां- autumn.
रविश- time, moment, pathway

  2. How beautifully penned the feelings! Lovely picture too!

I'm reading it aloud just like a school girl (I missed Hindi in high school as I opted Sanskrit) to get back the fun I missed in high school :-) Hope one day I will understand your words without the need of a dictionary :-D Thanks for the list of words and their meanings :-) I'm still in the basics like primary school girl :-D

    कि इस पे छाया है फिर उस खुमार का मौसम ...
    बहुत खूब ... चाँद के लिए तो हर मौसम उसके प्रेमी का मौसम है ... चाँद न हो तो मौसम की कल्पना नहीं ...
    लाजवाब लिखा है ...

    1. Right, Sir! The moon can not survive alone and pines for a company always. It's glum on those dark nights and beams on plenilune as it finds his muse, a new one every season. : Thank-you! :)

    क्या बात है !! बहुत सरल और सुन्दर शब्दों में प्यार के मौसम को परिभाषित किया आपने और संयोगवश ये सप्ताह भी प्यार दिखाने का चल रहा है :)

  14. Kya khoob! Bahut sundar likha hai Kokila. ek ek lafz khoobsurati se chuna aur piroya hai. Ispar toh gazal bank sakti hai 'Phirchidi raat baat phulon ki' jaisi. :)

This is intoxication Girl!!! The whole verse!!! I am now intoxicated, drowning in it!!! :D
Now that you know how much of a moon person I am, these lines become my favourite as well!

    1. For me too. To be able to evoke such feelings in an artist's delicate heart and sensitive soul is intoxicating indeed.
As for the moon, I love him not only on the golden plenilunes but also, when he is writhing in pain or during those dark phases, when he hides away from the world as if, in shame! Knowing him too well has made me a selenophile too...so glad you liked this nazm! Means much! :)
