अलख* जगायी- waken up
हठी- stubborn
चपल - naughty
पुरवाई- the Eastern Wind
P.S. I was drenched by these emotions while looking for my old Chemistry notes when a dried rose fell from its pages and reminded of that day when I had found it in the same notebook.
I never knew who kept it but, I do remember slamming my book shut due to a burning embarrasment!
Owing to the beautiful colour, the satin soft petals and that flip which my heart had made inside me that day, I had kept it.
...And, there it has resided from 1998! Gosh!
अस्फुट -unsaid
विस्मृत- forgotten
अलख* जगायी- waken up
हठी- stubborn
चपल - naughty
पुरवाई- the Eastern Wind
ठिठोली- joshing
पल-पलाश - moments like Palash** flower
*Alakh niranjan is an invocation to Almighty God.
Alakh= a+lakshya अलक्ष्य = which can't be visualised that is, abstract.
Niranjan = nir+ anjan निरंजन = without blemish that is, pure.
Thus, alakh niranjan is a call to that pure abstract entity!
**Palash flowers are famous for their fierce red colour and are considered a symbol of passion and intensity.

ReplyDeleteHow cute is that!
It's amazing how these flowers remain like that after all these years, no?
I have a yellow flower in the dictionary I used in school. A friend had made a sweet card with it. She'd put it between two small plastic sheets along with a small piece of paper with some message on it. It's been in there for over 20 years. I have to send you a pic of it. :)
Have a good weekend dear Kokila. :)
You are right! It's amazing how these flowers fare so well with time and equally amazing is that flood of memories which rushed in! Events tumbling one over other, vying for my attention, making those moments glow bright like embers...
DeleteWill wait for that pic, Dee! :)
